Father's Day Birdhouse

We wanted to host a Father’s day event where you and your Dad would come to our workshop and build a birdhouse. Fun right?

Unfortunately due to physical distancing restrictions we aren’t able to proceed with that so instead we have put together a kit that you can take home and build with your Dad there. We have taken care of all the cutting and your kit will come with all of the fasteners you’ll need to build it. The only tool you require to assemble this lovely birdhouse is a hammer and we’re positive your Dad has one of those.

These will be available for curbside pickup at our East Hamilton studio (398 Nash Rd North unit #12) or Chickadee Family Cafe (2178 Mountain Grove Ave, Burlington). Purchasing will act as a pre-order and we will inform you when your kit is ready to pick up (Likely the weekend of the 13th, but we will contact you). We will also be releasing an instructional guide video featuring our resident Father/Son team John and Sean to help walk you through the construction process.

Your take home birdhouse kit will include: Pine for the walls, Cedar shingles and a folded metal strip for the roof, and birch plywood for the inserted base. All of the pieces will come with pre-drilled holes where needed to help assemble the house as well as all of the nails to fasten the pieces together. Your kit will also include some birdseed to attract some tenants! The removable base makes it easy to clean between occupants.

The birdhouse measures 10 1/2 inches across the front, 8 inches deep, and 16 inches tall. The perch protrudes an additional 2 inches from the front. All of the components are handmade here at Art Aggregate.

We recommend painting or applying a clear coat to the Pine portions of your birdhouse to extend its outdoor lifespan.
